Jerry Houston Sanders, 69 of Marble Hill, MO died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born on August 26, 1943 in Parma, MO to John Franklin and Alice Lucille Nordin Sanders. He married Dorothy Jo Foulk on July 3, 1966. Jerry worked for Nestles for 25 years and then worked at Ceramo in Jackson for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Melissa (Charles) Graham of Salem, MO and Melinda Sanders of Marble Hill; a brother, Richard (Judy) Sanders of Oak Ridge, MO; four sisters, Margie (Leon) Stricklin of Chaffee, Fay (Johny) Lee of Rodgersville, MO, Kay Scheper of Benton and Peggy (Terry) Lee of Chaffee, MO; a brother-in-law, Mike Scheper of Scott City; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Sanders. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM on Saturday until time of service at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the chapel with Rev. Charles Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
