Earl Winfred Stevens, age 85, of Dutchtown, MO passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the family home in Dutchtown, MO. He was born in Allenville, MO on August 9, 1928 to the late William and Rosie Ann McIntre Stevens. Earl married Opal Janette Tucker on Sept. 30, 1950 and she survives. He served in the National Guard for 25yrs. He worked as a maintenance man at Lone Star and was a member of AFLCIO Steelworkers Union. Survivors include his wife, Opal Stevens of the home; five sons, Rodger (Sue) Stevens of Scott City, MO, Steve (Linda) Stevens of Scott City, MO, Tim (Kim Stevens of Chaffee, MO, Chris (Carol) Stevens of Scott City, MO, Earl Ray (Christi) Stevens of Chaffee, MO; one daughter, Brenda (David) McKee of Jackson, MO; one daughter in law, Brenda Stevens of Cape Girardeau, MO; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Stevens; four brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 4-8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO. Prayer service will be held at 7pm at the chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am, Thursday September 26, 2013 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Rev. John Harth as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery in Dutchtown, MO. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
