Richardson Copeland Sr., age 68, of Morley, MO passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born in Chickasaw, MS on July 24, 1945 to the late Mathis Paul and Josie Dodd Copeland Sr. Richardson married Shelby Jo Houchins on Feb. 16, 1982 in Morehouse, MO and she preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 2010. He worked as a farmer for Beck and Beck Auction Company in Sikeston, MO. He was a member of Oran Full Gospel Church in Oran, MO and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include four sons, Richard (Connie) Copeland of Scott City, MO, Richardson (Amber) Copeland Jr. of Benton, MO, Charles (Zelma) Lutes of Advance, MO, Vernon (Teresa) Lutes of Oran, MO; two daughters, Billie Sweet of Oran, MO, Charlotte Coplin of Morley, MO; five brothers, Mathis Copeland Jr. of Kewannee, MO, Joseph Lee Copeland of Clines Island, MO, Sonny, Jim Copeland both of Sikeston, MO, Bruster Copeland of Vanduser, MO; five grandsons, Forrest, Hunter Copeland, Matthew, Aaron Coplin, Damon Burks; five granddaughters, Ashley Burks, Macenzie, Haley, Shelby Copeland and Kaitlin Coplin. Friends may call from 11am until time of service on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo. Funeral service will be held at 1pm at the chapel with Rev. Jeff Crandall officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
