Dorothy Faye Smiley

Dorothy Faye Smiley, 87, of Chaffee, MO passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born in Mineral Wells, TX on April 16, 1926 to the late John Marion and Minnie Christian Mallory. Dorothy married Robert Lester "Bob" Smiley on August 25, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1989. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Rockview, MO. Survivors include three sons, Michael (Kathy) Smiley of Fredericktown, MO, James Smiley, Gregory (Lisa) Smiley both of Rockview, MO; seven daughters, Glenda (Jay) Cassout of Scott City, MO, Donna (Jake) Carlson of Lake Stevens, WA, Susan (Kenny) Myers of Corpus Christi, TX, Rita (David) Hicks of Rockview, MO, Sharon (Doug) Hargrove of Chaffee, MO, Sandy (Steve) Pirtle of Scott City, MO, Janice (Mark) Eldridge of Scott City, MO; twenty grandchildren and thirty three great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 10am, Monday, November 18, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church in Rockview.
