Lavetra Jane Piper, 70 of Scott City died December 22, 2013 at the Monticello House in Jackson, MO. She was born in 1943 in Sikeston, MO to James Young and Esther Marie Hilliker Holmes. She married Miles H. Piper, Jr. She is survived by her husband; a sister, Leslie Lacey of Scott City. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters. There will be no services. Amick-Burnett funeral chapel of Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
