Jon Jeffrey Thomas, 44 of Benton, MO died December 26, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born January 3, 1969 in Syracuse, NY to Michael and Judith Clancy Thomas. He married Carolyn Sharlene Grey on August 23, 2003 He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he was a mechanic. He attended Unity Baptist Church in Benton. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Thomas; his parents Michael & Judith Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; Two sons, Jon Jeffrey Thomas Jr. and Bradley Michael Thomas both of PA; four step-sons, Donnie O'Hara of Oklahoma City, OK, Reuben Smith and Carlton Hays of Benton, Chuck Hays of Sikeston; four step-daughters, Tonya Sanchez, Carla Hays and Sylvia Green all of Benton and Dede Barnett of Morley; 16 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren. A memorial service with full military rites will be at 3 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Unity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
