Bernard C. Elfrank 76 of Scott City went to be with the lord on December 27, 2013. He was born October 30, 1937 in Painton, MO to Henry and Maude Elfrank. Foster parents were Nadine & Blanton King. He married Virginia McAlister on October 23, 1956 in St. Charles, MO He retired from Commercial Transport and was a member of teamster local # 574 in Cape Girardeau. He was of the Assembly of God faith. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, tractor restoration and was the master of tinkering. He is survived by his wife Virginia; a son, Troy (Jennifer) Elfrank of Aurora, KY; three daughters, Susan Horman of Hardin, KY, Marsha (Jim) Johnston of Scott City and Joy Smith of Cape Girardeau, MO; a brother, Larry Elfrank of St. Clair; 5 sisters, Henrietta Delay of Advance, Carolyn Mennesee of St. Clair, Peggy Sue Edwards of Holstein, Patti Propst of Washington and Margaret Dow of Harrison, AR; 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, two brothers, two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Monday until time of service at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday at the chapel with Pastor Art Heinz officiating. Burial will be at Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
