Christopher David Josephs, 33, of Scott City died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at his home. He was born Nov. 17, 1980 in Detroit, Mich., to Barry and Virginia May Prass Josephs. He graduated in 1999 from Scott City High School. He was involved in Future Business Leaders of America and played alto saxophone in the school band. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelors degree in business administration in 2007. He was very active in the professional fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In 2008, he went to the University of Tennessee in Memphis for a masters degree in health administration. He had worked at VA in Memphis and he was currently working at AISIN Manufacturing in Illinois as a cost specialist. He is survived by his mother, of Scott City; his maternal grandmother, Claire Prass, of Scott City; four uncles, Chuck Hoover, of Scott City, Bill Prass, of San Mateo, Calif., Jim Prass, of Brentwood, Calif., and Brian Josephs, of Pompton Plains, N.J.; and two aunts, Frances (Harmon) Presswood, of Scott City and Shelly (Jim) Ichinco of Pompton Plains, N.J. He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandfather, William Prass. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.
