Wayne Perkins, age 66, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO surrounded by his children and a brother, John. He was born July 17, 1947 in Blytheville, AR to the late John William and Sada Marie Booth Perkins. Wayne was a member of the United States Navy having served in the Vietnam War as an aircraft mechanic on the USS Enterprise. He was also a member of the Morley V.F.W. Post #5368. He was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed woodworking of all types. Survivors include three sons, Mark (Michelle) of Chaffee, MO, Chris (Jennifer) of Cooter, MO, Ryan (Jessica) of Blytheville, AR; two brothers, Denver (Mary) of St. Louis, MO, John (Vickie) of Mobile, AL; one sister, Alice (Harold) Nichols of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandsons, Zachary, Jacob, Luke, Christian, Chase and Blaine; numerous nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held in the spring at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO with full military honors presented by the Missouri Honor Guard.
