Joan Pribble Davidson, 78 of Scott City died January 24, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born March 10, 1935 in Evansville, IN to Captola Hubert and Helen Louise Starr Pribble. She married James E. Davidson. She was a teacher's aide for 30 years at Scott City schools. She helped start Head Start in Scott County, Scott City parks and Scott City play day at Scott City School. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City and Jr. Wives club. She volunteered for Cub Scouts, P.T.O., and P.T.O. Follies. She is survived by two sons, Jamie (Penny) Davidson of Scott City and Greg (Becky) Davidson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Melinda (John) Dodd of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Bill Pribble of Crystal Lake, IL; eight grandchildren, James Paul (Trisha) Davidson, Jesse ( Fiancé, Danielle Kershaw) Davidson, Moriah Davidson, Levi Davidson, Tatum Dodd, Riley Dodd, Mollie Davidson and Connor Davidson; four great grandchildren, Brayden, Raelyn, Ellie Jo Davidson, Dylan Kershaw. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Amy Davidson and best friends, Joy Venable and Bonnie Raney. Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City. Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2014 at the church. Burial will be in Lynnwood Cemetery in Paragould, Ark. at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Scott City Youth League and Notre Dame H. S. Education Fund Foundation.
