Nathan Hale, 49 of Deland, IL died February 6, 2014. He was born April 4, 1964 in St. Louis, MO to Morris and Elizabeth Vinson Hale. Nathan was a farmhand for Michael Farms in Benton for many years and after his move worked for Herff Jones Cap and Gown for 12 years up to his death. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and Indian artifacts. He is survived by his lifetime companion Lisa Morris of Deland, IL; a daughter, Magen Housman of Charleston, MO; five brothers, Allan (Carolyn) Hale and Paul Hale both of Benton, Wayne Hale of French Village, MO, William Hale of Bloomsdale, MO and Tommy (Rhonda) Hale of Bertrand, MO; a sister, Cynthia (Donald) Crowden of Benton, MO; 26 special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kontrell Hale. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton, MO with Rev. Denis Lowe officiating.
