Iraja Santos

Iraja Santos, age 71, of Chaffee, MO formerly of Lake Hiawatha, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Odin Nursing Home in Odin, IL. He was born on February 26, 1942 in Ponta Grossa, Parana Brazil to the late Jose and Conceicao Reis Santos. He married Heloisa Maria Andrade on June 22, 1963 and she survives. He served in the military in Brazil as a parachutist. He worked at Curtiss Wright Flight System in New Jersey. He was also part owner, along with his son Fabian Santos, and chef of Fabian's Italian Restaurant in Sikeston, MO for 2years. He retired from Braswell Water Softner Company in Jackson, MO after 16years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Heloisa, of the home; one son, Fabian Eduardo (Bonnie) Santos of Gilbert, AZ; one daughter, Adriane DeAndrade Santos of Chaffee, MO; one sister, Maria Yara Casarini of Rio Claro, S.P. Brazil; three grandsons, Michael James Santos, Anthony David Cameron, Nicholas Xavier Santos and one granddaughter, Sabrina Noelle Santos. He was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Friends may call from 9a.m. until time of service on Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, MO. A memorial mass will be held 10a.m., Friday, at the church with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant and Rev. Jose Araque as concelebrant.
