James Marvin Steven Karnes

James Marvin Steven Karnes, 39, of Scott City died Thursday, April 17, 2014, in Scott City. He was born August 30, 1974 at Doniphan, Mo., the son of James Marvin and Anna Marie Grider Karnes. James was a mechanic at Seyer's Garage in Cape Girardeau. Survivors include his mother, Anna Sanders of Cape Girardeau; his fiancé Michelle Wilburn of Scott City; two sons, Michael and Cameron Karnes of Cape Girardeau; a daughter Zoey Karnes of the home; a brother, Joe Crawford of Oran; a sister Sherry Wallace of Dyer County, Tenn.; and a step-sister, Tammy Karnes of Manitou, Col. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Fathers Arms Fellowship Church in Scott City. Rev. Ken Strong will officiate.
