Jim Jobe, age 68, of Chaffee, MO passed away at his home on Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was born on March 28, 1946 in Oakland City, IN to the late Fred William and Marjorie White Jobe. He married Cindy Edwards on November 26, 1988 and she survives. Jim was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1972. He was a retired truck driver and machine operator for Blair Industries in Scott City, MO. He was a member of the Sikeston Eagles and Sikeston American Legion Post #114. Survivors include his wife, Cindy of the home; one son, Shawn (Terri) Jobe of Chaffee, MO; two brothers, Bill (Darlene) Jobe and Mike (Danni) Jobe both of Chaffee, MO; one sister, Gail (Gene) Ing of Chaffee, MO; three grandchildren Kelli Besand, Misty Neal and Casey Jobe; one great grandson, Isaac Ray Neal; numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one son, Greg and one sister, Sue Ann Rinehart. A graveside service will be held at 11a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO with Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Missouri Honor Guard. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
