Mildred Burnett

Mildred Rose Burnett, age 90, of Sikeston, MO passed away at Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, MO on Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was born on March 10, 1924 in Benton, MO to the late Otto Louis and Mary Josephine Dohogne Schlitt. She married Jack T. Burnett on May 13, 1978 and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2001. Mildred was a retired accountant for Jarvis Motor Co. in Sikeston and also a retired funeral director for Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, MO; Daughters of Isabella; St. Francis Xavier Alter Sodality and Ladies Aux Post #3127 in Chaffee. Survivors include two sons, Ron (Linda) Graviett of Bloomfield, MO, Tom (Sibylle) Graviett of Lewisville, TX; one brother, Harold A. Schlitt of Oran, MO; three sisters, Alma Jean Gouge of Wentzville, MO, Mary Catherine Stoverink of O'Fallon, MO, Georgia Neal of St. Louis, MO; one step-daughter, Jane (David) Pfefferkorn of Sikeston, MO, one step-son, Jack L. (Cindy) Burnett of Chaffee, MO; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and twelve step great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Maxie Ray Graviett and three brothers. Friends may call after 4pm Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish Prayers will be held at 7:30pm at the chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10am, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, MO.
