George Clark

George Samuel Clark, 90 of Scott City, MO formerly of Terre Haute, Ind., died May 2, 2014 at his home. He was born October 14, 1923 in Courtland, Kansas to George Nathan and Hazel Catherine Lynn Clark. He married Ruby May Webster on June 21, 1974 in Terre Haute, Ind. George was an engineer at WTHI-TV channel 10. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Ruby of Terre Haute, Ind.; two sons, Richard Clark of Dorchester, IL and John Clark of Scott City, MO; three daughters, Georgia Wisdom of Rolla, MO, Kathy Perkins of Scott City and Terry Stearns of Burfordville, MO; a step-son, Robert Perkins of Scott City; a step daughter, Debra Orndorff of Terre Haute, Ind; a brother, James Clark of Dodgeville, Wisc; a sister, Mary Pitcher of St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and a great grandchild. Visitation will be from Noon until time of service on Monday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday at the chapel with Rev. Doug Sikes officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with full military honors. Online condolences may be shared at www.amick-burnettfuneralchapels.com
