Jack Evans

Jack Allen Evans, 74 of Scott City died Friday, May 9, 2014 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born July 10, 1939 in Allenville, MO to J.R. and Isabell Slinkard Evans. He married Mary Lynn Gibbs on December 4, 1967. He was a Tech at Southwestern Bell and is a member of the Elks Club in Cape Girardeau and Kimberland Golf Club. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn; a daughter, Pam (Kevin) Smith of Columbia, MO; two sisters, Jean (P.M.) Kurre of Jackson and Susan (Ronald) Estes of Marble Hill, MO; four grandchildren, Jonah, Erika, Cooper and Benton Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin sister, Jill Myer and a brother, Jerry Evans. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Burial will be at a later date.
