Ruth Ann Urhahn, 82, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Cape Girardeau, surrounded by her children. She was born January 25, 1932 on the family farm, daughter of Zeno Peter and Welden Stike LeGrand. She and Marvin Zeno ("Curly") Urhahn were married on October 13, 1951. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2001. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, MO. Survivors include her six children, Gail (Dan) Overbey of Cape Girardeau, Charlene (Mark) Camren of Advance, Richard Urhahn of Cape Girardeau, Kenny (Kelly) Urhahn of Cape Girardeau, Sherry (Jamie) Burger of Benton, and Jackie (Frank) Rodriguez of Nixa, MO; 16 grandchildren, Jeffrey and Douglas (Katie) Overbey, Travis (Jamie) Green, Audrey (Brandon) Dambach, Neil and Austin Urhahn, Casie (Ryan) McGill, Blake (Katie), Haley, and Chase Urhahn, Vanessa (John) Koepp, Allison (Wesley) Page, Paris Burger, and Frankie, Danielle, and Christina Rodriguez; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Green, Ava Urhahn, Liam McGill, Bryce Morgan, and Claire and Brock Page and two step-great grandchildren, Kenzi and Charlee Koepp. She also is survived by siblings, Judy King of Oran, Betty Stewart of Clinton, Mississippi, Calvin LeGrand of Oran, Arlene Harrell of Chaffee, Ronnie (Sheila) LeGrand of Dexter, Sam (Nancy) LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, and Sandy (Kirby) Hahn of Oran, a brother-in-law, Butch (Darlene) Urhahn of Venice, FL and four sisters-in-law, Marjorie LeGrand of Oran, Pat (Bill) Schlosser, Joan Kerby, and Barbara Urhahn of Benton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Norman LeGrand; a sister, Marilyn Diebold and a grandchild, Celeste Burger. Friends may call from 8:30 until time of service on Monday at St. Denis Church in Benton. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Denis cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Denis Church, Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Hospital.
