Richard L. Campbell, age 64, of Albuquerque, NM passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the home of his sister in Chesterfield, MO. He was born on September 20, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Lynuel Leon and Mildred "Millie" Schearf Campbell. He married Cathy Scholz on July 22, 1967 and she survives. Rick was an electrician for 45years and retired from Sachs Electric after 30 years of service. He was a member of the IBEW Local #1. Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Cathy; his mother, Mildred "Millie" Campbell of Chesterfield, MO. He was a loving father to one son, Aaron (Claudia) Campbell as well as two daughters, Angie (Carl) Fitzgerald and Rhonda Campbell. Rick was a wonderful brother to his sister, Connie Westbrook of Chesterfield, MO, and cherished grandpa to his three grandchildren, Kala, Connor and Cage. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends may call after 4p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will be at 1p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the chapel with Rev. Ed Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Proffer Cemetery in Crump, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Siteman Cancer Center Research Center in honor of Richard Campbell, Campus Box 1204, 7425 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105.
