Norman Elwood Sander, Jr., 69 of Honolulu formerly of Commerce, MO died June 13, 2014 at Queen's Medical Center in Oahu, Hawaii. He was born August 19, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Norman Elwood and Joy Jean Johnson Sander. He married Dawn Savory on Dec. 5, 2009. He was a Safety Coordinator for Monsanto. He is survived by his wife Dawn of Honolulu; his mother, Joy Jean Simmons of Commerce; a son, Jeffery (Racheal) Sander of Chattanooga, TN; a daughter, Patti (Mark) Fullbright of Cross Plains, TN; a step-son, Nigel Eharis of Honolulu, HI; two step-daughters, Hana and Quynne Eharis of Honolulu, HI; four brothers, Mark (Brenda) Sander of New Hamburg, Keith (Pam) Sander of Cape Girardeau, Scott (Debbie) Sander of Commerce, James (Mary) Simmons II of Benton; two sisters, Sharon (Chris) Naas of Bardwell, KY, Sherre Simmons of Commerce; four grandchildren, Maddy, Jacob, William and Lilly; a sister-in-law, Regina Sander of commerce. He was preceded in death by a son, Norman Brett; his father, Norman Elwood Sander, Sr.; three brothers, Kevin Sander, Timothy Simmons and Doug Simmons; stepdad, J.D. Simmons. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until time of service on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM on Wednesday at the chapel with Rev. Michael Woods officiating.
