Joseph Earl Cobb, age 52, of Harrisburg, IL passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg. He was born on May 27, 1962 in Chaffee, MO to James Earl and Doris Mae Keller Cobb. He married Mary Lynn Brown on June 6, 2011 and she survives. Joseph was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his father, James Cobb of Moscow, TN; his wife, Mary, of Harrisburg, IL; four daughters, Jaclyn Bagley of Bethalto, IL, Heather Richardson of Shelburn, IN, Josie Cobb of Sullivan, IN, Samantha Lucas of Merom, IN; one son, Jacob Sales of Bethalto, IL; two step-sons, Alik Brown, Michael Riley both of Harrisburg, IL; one step-daughter, Shauna Haney of Harrisburg, IL; six brothers, David Cobb of Oakland, TN, Jerry Cobb of Wood River, IL, Dan Cobb of CA, Bill Cobb of MO, Donnie Nizinski of Wood River, IL, Gary Booth of Wood River, IL; seven sisters, Sheri Nizinski of Wood River, IL, Lorine Gernon of Bethalto, IL, Anna Pratt of Mt. Home, AR, Margaret Stroup of Dexter, MO, Susan Maddox of Macon, TN, April Bernstein of Saddle Creek, MI, Laurie Cobb of Oakland, TN; an aunt, Jewel Hampton of Chaffee, MO and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Cobb; a daughter, Emma Louis Cobb, and his parents who raised him since age 7, Gilbert and Emma Cobb. Friends may call from 1p.m. until 5p.m. on Saturday July 5, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
