Eldon Lyod Chasteen

October 11, 1945 - July 21, 2014

Eldon Lyod Chasteen, age 68, of Rockview, MO passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the family home in Rockview. He was born on October 11, 1945 in St. Louis, MO to the late Edward Franklin and Mildred Pauline Priest Chasteen. He married Phyllis Anderson on Dec. 10, 1993 and she survives. Eldon was a diesel mechanic and retired from Cummins Diesel in Rock Springs, WY. He was a member of The Church of God in Chaffee, MO. He was an amateur ham radio operator. Eldon loved music and was a drummer, bass guitar player and lead guitarist. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of the home; a son and daughter; step son and two step daughters; a brother, Earl Chasteen of Chaffee, MO; two sisters, Mildred Chapman and Joy Kinder both of Chaffee; five grandchildren; four step grandchildren and one step great granddaughter. Friends may call from 10a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at The Church of God in Chaffee. Funeral service will be held at 1p.m., at the church with Rev. Tom Morris officiating assisted by Rev. LaDon Hamilton. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, MO.
