Billy Gene Horsley, age 77, of Morley, MO passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO. He was born on November 26, 1936 in Marion, IL to the late Alberta Woods Smothers. Bill married Margaret Louise Collins on November 3, 1957 and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2014. He was a retired welder with the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 562 in St. Louis, MO. Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Louis Sherer-Guzman and Casey Guzman both of Morley, MO; stepfather, Douglas Smothers of Mt. Vernon, IL; five grandchildren, Haley, Katie, Macy and Xander Scherer, Addison Guzman; two sisters, Debbie Smith of Columbia, MO, Tracy Brewer of Minnesota and one step brother, Tom Long of Mt. Vernon, IL. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, MO is in charge of arrangements and there are no services.
