Bertha Bles-Meyer, 92 years old of Newton, MA formerly of Benton and St. Louis, Mo, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2014. She was born on February 23, 1922 to Edward and Clara Scherer Bles. She was the beloved wife for 67 years to John I Meyer (deceased) and the loving mother of Pamela Love of Dallas, TX, Linda Hamil of Farmington, MO and John I (Laura) Meyer, Jr. of Newton, MA. She had nine grandchildren: Anna Love Usry, Kathryn Love Pfleger and Daniel Love, all of Dallas, TX, Andrew Hamil, Clara Hamil and Patrick Hamil of Farmington, MO, Diana Meyer Dunn of Sarasota, Fl, Dr. John I Meyer, III of Garden City, New York and Henry Meyer of Boston, MA. She also had three great-grandchildren: Landon Usry, Ellis Usry and Kylie Love of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by two sisters: Mary (Alfred) Westrich of Cape Girardeau, MO and Margaret Whalen of Rockville, MD. Visitation will be Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 9:00AM until time of service at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, MO. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the church with Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Denis Catholic Cemetery in Benton.
