Zeta Simms

Zeta Marie Simms, age 74, of Chaffee, MO passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO. She was born on January 24, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, MO to the late Edward and Louise W. Hessee Ackman. She married Russell Simms on October 15, 1975 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1993. Zeta was a self-employed house cleaner. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Chaffee. Survivors include one son, Edison Elliott of Sioux Falls, IA; one daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Wilburn of Chaffee, MO; three sisters, Velma (Bob) Shephard of Cape Girardeau, MO, Burna Walker of Jackson, MO, Sharon (Norman) Chapman of Cape Girardeau, MO; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Ackman of Jackson, MO; five grandchildren, Kelsie and Cassie Wilburn, Brandi Taylor, Douglas and Kyle Elliott, and thirteen step grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the First Assembly of God in Chaffee, MO with Rev. Jeff Crandell officiating.
