Ronald Elison Williams, 83, of Jackson died Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson. He was born July 5, 1931, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Marion Otis and Lillie A. Mott Williams. He married Kimiko Koshino, and she preceded him in death. He later married Bettie L. Kindred Deason on Feb. 14, 2004, in Sikeston. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Bettie; a daughter, Connie Sue Williams of Phoenix; four stepsons, Gordon (Adrenne) Deason Jr. of Orange Park, Florida, Randy (Terry) Deason of Sikeston, Terry (Dorothy) Deason of New Hamburg, Missouri, and Paul (Karen) Deason of Dixon, Missouri; two brothers, Larry (Shirley) Williams of Scott City and Wendell (Barbara) Williams of Franklin, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Frances Funke. Ronald was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, and he volunteered for the American Red Cross for many years. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Jackson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery in Blodgett, Missouri, with full military honors. Memorials may be sent to the American Red Cross, 2430 Myra Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703
