Mae Ellender Neubauer, 98 of Scott City died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO. She was born December 6, 1915 in Beloit, Wisc. to Lee and Martha Kever Elliott. Mae was raised on the Frank Lloyd Wright Farm in Spring Green, Wisc. where her father was the foreman of the farm. She married Howard Kohl on Oct. 24, 1932, after his death she moved to Scott City in 1975. She later married S.J. Neubauer on Nov. 23, 1979; he also preceded her in death. She was a supervisor at Admiral Television Corp. in Harvard, IL for 25 years. She was active in the Lutheran Church in Harvard, IL, the Ladies Aid, Altar Guild, sewing club and taught Sunday school for 25 years. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. She is survived by two sons, Howard (Emma) Kohl, Jr. of Smithfield, IL and Richard Kohl of Milan, MI; two daughters, Geraldine (Bill) Zimmerman of Scott City and Veronica (Glenn) Anderson of Rockford, IL; two sisters, Marilyn Tinsley of Virginia and Nancy Collins of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of service on Monday at the Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at the church with Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be in Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Eisleben Sunday School or the Ladies Aid.
