Jessie Lola Urhahn

Jessie Lola (Shrum) Urhahn, age 87, of Oran, MO passed away at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, MO on Thursday, November 13, 2014. She was born on August 9, 1927, in Sikeston, MO, to the late Jesse E. and Frances Black Shrum. She married Francis A. Urhahn on February 7, 1948 and he survives. Jessie was a retired baker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oran, MO where she was a member of the Sunday school. Survivors include her husband, Francis, of the home; two sons, Michael Urhahn of Berkely, MO, Dennis (Marcella) Urhahn of Athens, AL; three daughters, LaDonna (Richard) Boss of Whitewater, MO, Melissa Clang of Arnold, MO, Belinda Webb of Oran, MO; two brothers, Sam Shrum of Jackson, MO, Jim Shrum of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters, Jean Gilliland and Joy Baker both of Jackson, MO; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Urhahn; a grandson, Joshua Urhahn; three brothers, Clyde, Bill and Jake Shrum; two sisters, Arcelle Korzen and Kathreen Hammer; a daughter in law, Bernice Urhahn and a son in law William Clang. Family viewing will be from 10a.m until 11a.m. Friends may call from 11a.m. until time of service on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, MO. Funeral service will be at 1p.m., Monday, November 17, 2014 at the chapel with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, MO. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Chaffee Nursing Center Hwy 77 North, PO Box 68 Chaffee, MO 63740 or Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
