Bonnie Rose Cope, 82 of Scott City died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at her home. She was born on February 11, 1932 in Bonne Terre, MO to Arvil D. and Ada Dunwoody Link. She married Walter Johnston, Jr on September 2, 1950; he preceded her in death on July 21, 1986. She later married Daniel Cope on December 24, 2008. She had worked at Blair Industries and was a member of Assembly of God Church in Scott City. She is survived by her husband of Scott City; a son Matthew (Anna) Johnston of Scott City; three daughters, Dianna Miller of Jackson, Debbera Miller and Donna (John) Braun of Scott City.; a step-son, Danny Ray (Patty ) Cope of Kelso; a sister-in-law, Doris Moss of Scott City; 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and 6 great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy; a brother, two sisters and 2 great grandsons. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at the chapel with Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City. Memorial may be sent to American Cancer Society, 106 Farrar Dr, Ste 104, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
