Opal Liles

Opal Liles, age 97, of Oran, MO passed away at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. She was born on March 30, 1917 in London, AR to the late Lonnie and Izada Waldo Anthony. Opal married Charlie Liles on Jan. 6, 1936 at Eufaula, OK and he preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1994. She retired as a machine operator at International Hat Factory in Oran, MO and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oran, MO. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Jansen of Oran, MO; two brothers, Charles Anthony of Racine, WI, Everett Anthony of Marietta, GA; two sisters, Mary Blackburn of Scottsdale, AZ, Betty Laramie of Oran, MO; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Cecil Liles; a brother, Elmer Anthony; two grandsons, Darren Jansen and Eric Liles. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, MO. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the chapel with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
