Dolores E. Trost Nation

Dolores E. Trost Nation, age 68, of Chaffee, MO passed away at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. She was born on August 16, 1946 in Chaffee, MO to the late Buford and Adella Kiefer Trost. Delores married Richard Nation on May 1, 1965 in Chaffee and he survives. She was a teacher at Chaffee Head Start and she retired as a teacher assistant at the Chaffee Grade School. She was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, the Daughters of St. Ambrose and the Ladies Aux of Chaffee VFW Post #3127. Survivors include three sons, Eric Nation of Cape Girardeau, Michael Nation of Chaffee, John Nation of Texas; two sisters, Margaret Nation of Chaffee, Virginia Vessels of Paducah, KY; three granddaughters, Rachel, daughter of Eric, Martikai and Tasha, daughters of Michael; a grandson, Johnie, son of John; three great grandchildren, Amberlynn, Madalynn and Alexandra; several nieces and nephews and countless foster children who came through their home who she loved as if they were her own. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Angela Nation and two brothers Elmer and Art Trost. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO. Parish Prayers will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Church Cemetery in Chaffee.
