Sara Irene Guzman

Sara Irene Guzman, age 60, of Oran, MO passed away at the family home in Oran, MO on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She was born on July 19, 1954 in St. Louis, MO to the late William Ray and Nelda Maxine Hanks Shaffer. Sara married Raymond Guzman on July 10, 1970 and he survives. She was a school bus driver for Oran Public Schools for 38 years and was a member of Faith Family Church in Painton, MO. Sara was also a member of the 4 Christ Ministry Clowns and Puppets and helped with the children's church at Christ Church of the Heartland in Cape Girardeau, MO. Survivors include her husband, Raymond of the home; one son, Tracy (Becky) Guzman of Oran, MO; one daughter, Leslie (Ben) Karr of Oran, MO; two brothers, Darrel Hanks of Oran, MO, Jimmy Hanks of Cape Girardeau, MO; three sisters, Duranda Cochran of Oran, MO, Marsha Ward of Cape Girardeau, MO, Elizabeth (Tony) Whayle of Marian, AR; one grandson, Coltin Karr of Oran, MO; one granddaughter, Brandy Guzman of Oran, MO; and one very special friend, Joann Cato of Sikeston, MO. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Hanks. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Faith Family Church in Painton, MO. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the church with Rev. Don Joliff officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
