Jimmy Simms

Jimmy Lynn Simms, 50 of Scott City died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born April 25, 1964 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Russell and Kathryn Daniels Simms. Jimmy attended Kelly High School and lived most of his life in Commerce. He loved watching Nascar, Boxing and eating fish. He is survived by two sons, Jordan Simms of St. Louis, MO and Preston Simms of East Prairie, MO; a daughter, Jessica Simms of Commerce; a granddaughter, Charlotte Simms; four sisters, Brenda (Buck) Hanners of Commerce, Diane Mathis of Thebes, IL, Terry (Tom) Bollinger and Patty Fraser both of Jackson; a half-sister, Stephanie (Chris) Wilburn of Chaffee and a stepbrother, Edison Elliott of Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Creative Edge, 160 N. Enterprise Ln, Jackson, MO.
