Glen Joseph Hinkebein

Glen J. Hinkebein, 62, of Cape Girardeau, MO passed away at the family home in Cape Girardeau, MO on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was born on May 8, 1952 in Cape Girardeau, MO to the late Luke Theodore and Leevada Lee Mier Hinkebein. Glen was a retired Director of Business Development for Penzel Construction in Jackson, MO; he was also the facility supervisor for Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul in Cape Girardeau, MO; past member of the Copper Dome Society of Southeast Missouri State University; SEMO Athletic Booster Club; Cape Girardeau Kiwanis Club; Alpha Kappa PSI Professional Business Fraternity; Cape Girardeau Board of Appeals. Survivors include his son, Luke Richard P. Hinkebein of Cape Girardeau and his sister, Jennifer Lyn Roach of Blytheville, AR; four brothers, Tom (Sharon) Hinkebein of Sun City, FL, Robert (Theresa) Hinkebein, Mike (Ann) Hinkebein both of Chaffee, MO, Dan (Victoria) Hinkebein of Fenton, MO; one sister, Mary (Ernie) Duncan of Cape Girardeau, MO; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO. Parish Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Visitation will also be Saturday December 20, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. until time of mass at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the church with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee, MO. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the Luke Hinkebein Scholarship Fund at www.alliancebanking.com.
