Adajane Davis of Scott City, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at the Chaffee Nursing Center. She was born February 22, 1934 at Cape Girardeau, to John and Earmel Hartle Schlenker. She married Billy E. Davis on July 18, 1953. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. She had worked as City Collector for the City of Scott City Survivors include; her husband of Scott City; a daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and Danny Thompson of Scott City; a grandson, Brent (Bridgette) Whittington of Scott City; two granddaughters, Morgan and Sierra Thompson of Patton; four great grandchildren, Keegan, Zaeven, Karmen and Ashlynn. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters. Friends may call Monday from 5 - 8:00 p.m., at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
