Larry Wayne Null of Scott City passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 in his home. He was born June 1, 1943 in Granite City, Ill., to the late Willard and Addie Null. Larry and Janet Elaine Bain were married Sept. 26, 1965. Larry worked at West Lake Quarry in Scott City, and then joined the Local 513 Operators Union and worked construction. He started his own company, L&N Excavating and ran it until his retirement in 1996. Loving survivors include; his wife of 49 years, Janet of Scott City; three children, Stacey (Marcie) Null of Cabot, Ark., Darian (Jan) Null of Covington, Tenn. And Lora (Dale) Kinnison of Cape Girardeau; 7 grandchildren, Kacie, Austin, Faith, Andrew, Angela, Amy and Gabe; and one great grandson Domanik; He had two nephews he thought highly of and treated and thought of them as his boys, Darrell and Mike Null; a sister, Wanda (Fred) Wilson; and three brothers David (Mary) Null, Edward (Linda) Null and Phillip (Sheila) Null. He was preceded in death by a brother Loman Null. Friends may call from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be held at the chapel Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Randy Morse will officiate. Burial will follow in Wilfong Cemetery near Wappapello.
