Frankie G. Hicks, age 53, of Allenville, MO passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 while coon hunting in Bollinger Co. He was born on December 18, 1960, in Chaffee, MO to Larry and Betty Seabaugh Hicks. Frankie did river work for the past 30 years, serving as a Captain-Pilot since 2001, with Master License Credentials. Due to Captain Hicks' credentials he was evaluated by the Coast Guard and determined to be qualified for recognition as a "designated Examiner" for assessment of competence of candidates for towing vessel licenses. This designation is not valid unless accompanied by a valid U.S. Merchant Mariner's Credential endorsed for Master of Towing Vessels. Captain Hicks worked for Crescent Marine Towing located in Harvey, LA. He is survived by his mother, Betty of Chaffee; a sister, Loretta Hicks Below of Chaffee; two brothers, Eric (Paula) Hicks of Chaffee, Mark (Kourtney) Hicks of Advance; nephews, Dustin (Lauren), Tristan and David (Ashley); nieces, Rebecca (Shawn), Gracie and Beth (Chris). Frank was preceded in death by his father, Larry G. Hicks. Friends may call after 4 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO.
