Sharon Sue Gibbons

Sharon Sue Gibbons, age 72, of Chaffee, MO passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born on March 16, 1942 in Delta, MO to the late Lonnie and Wanda Lou Harford Hodges. She married Donald Lee Gibbons on August 14, 1969 and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2010. Survivors include two sons, Lawrence (Sandy) Gibbons of Kelso, MO, Lonnie Gibbons of Cape Girardeau, MO; one daughter, Sarah (Michael) Backfisch of Benton, MO; two step daughters; one step son; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren locally as well as many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Shane Hodges and two brothers. Friends may call from 10a.m. until noon at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Graveside services will be at 1p.m., Tuesday, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
