Shane Robert-Thomas Andersen

Shane Robert-Thomas Andersen, age 22, of Cape Girardeau, MO passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2015 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born on April 6, 1992 in Columbia, MO to Robert Steven and Dolores Ann Heisserer Andersen. Shane was a 2006 graduate of Guardian Angel elementary and a 2010 graduate of Oran High School where he was a Boy State delegate his junior year and went to state in Discus and Shot Put. He obtained an associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Three Rivers Community College and Certified POST training from Southeast Missouri State University. Shane worked as a night jailer at the Scott County jail and later as an associate at Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau. He was a graphic artist, outdoorsman and also enjoyed running and bodybuilding. Survivors include his mother, Dolores Ann Heisserer Andersen of Oran, MO; a sister, Louise (David Harris) Andersen of Helena, MT; uncles, Chris (Lana)Andersen, Karl (Barbara) Heisserer, Melvin (Shirley) Heisserer; aunts, Linda, Patty and Janis Andersen; two nieces, Allie Louise and Krista Leann Harris. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Steven Andersen; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary Lou Heisserer; paternal grandparents, Robert Lee and Shirley Drymon Andersen. A memorial visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, MO. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery on the hill in Oran, MO.
