William Owen Rogers

William Owen "Bill" Rogers, 91 of Kelso, MO died Friday, January 30, 2015 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born December 3, 1923 in Scott City to Owen J. and Anna Welter Rogers. He married LaVerne Elizabeth Corvick on May 29, 1948 in Kelso, MO. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2009. He was a supervisor at Florsheim Shoe Company and retired from HWI. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Knights of Columbus Council 6420 in Scott City and a 4th Degree St. Joseph Assembly 2283. He is survived by a brother, Charles Rogers of Arnold, MO; two sisters, Margaret Parker of Ellisville, MO and Mary Ann Bles of Vinita, OK; a sister-in-law, Darlene DeLong of Kelso and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Owen "Cotton" Rogers. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church with Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
