Pius Robert

Pius Frank Robert, 96, of Kelso, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born January 5, 1919 at Kelso the son of Charles and Ida Hohmann Robert. He married Arvella Mary Ledure on May 1, 1945 and she survives. Pius farmed, drove a truck for Leming Lumber, and owned and operated Pius and Arvella's Tavern and Station for 45 years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Kelso Men's Club. He is survived by; his wife Arvella; a special friend, Donnie Hennemann; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight brothers. Visitation will be Tues. from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Oliver Clavin, Wed. at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
