Jean Mccourt

Jean McCourt, 73 of Benton died March 5, 2015 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born May 31, 1941 in East Prairie, MO to Milton Elbert and Lois Eva Pinnon Jones. She married Dana Dempsey McCourt on May 16, 1964 in Rockford, IL. She was a cashier at Boomland and was a member of New Savannah Baptist Church in Blodgett. She is survived by her husband, Dana McCourt of the home; four daughters, Katherine Potts of Conroe, TX, Lisa Mitchem of Sikeston, Pamela McCourt of Crystal Lake, WI and Crystal Gosche of Scott City; a brother, Bill Jones of East Prairie, MO; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dana D. McCourt, Jr; a daughter, Karen Skaggs and a brother. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on March 8, 2015 at Unity Baptist Church in Benton, MO. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at the church with Rev. Dennis Lowe and Rev. Kenneth Bollinger as officiants. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
