Billy Dean Eifert, 78 of Scott City died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Hunter Acres in Sikeston, MO. He was born September 21, 1936 in Cape Girardeau, MO to William Henry and Ruth Hughes Eifert. He married Martha Ann Slinkard on Dec. 9, 1988 in Gramercy, LA. He was a supervisor for Delta Asphalt and worked for ASA Asphalt. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Scott City, Men's Breakfast Club and loved Crappie fishing. He is survived by his wife, Martha of Scott City; a daughter, Tammy Eifert of Louisville, KY; a stepson, Kevin Runnels of Chandler, AZ; a stepdaughter, Laurie (Jim) Glastetter of Benton; a sister, Kathy Payne of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Trenton, Taylor, Jamie and Elizabeth; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Billings in 1988. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Amick-Burnett chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday at the chapel with Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
