Bill George Crossen, 80 of Benton, MO died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his home. He was born September 20, 1934 in Neelyville, MO to Ollie and Edith Crockett Crossen. He married Nancy Laree Dennis on November 8, 1980. He was a truck driver for ABF and was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton, MO. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Crossen; five sons, William Crossen of Lawrenceville, GA; James (Sue) Crossen of Cape Girardeau; Terry Crossen of Poplar Bluff, Robert Crossen of St. Louis and Jeffrey (Andrea) Hopper of Scott City; two daughters, Stephanie Cutright of Norfolk, Va and Lisa (Darrell) Wheetley of Benton; a brother, Vernon (Glenna) Crossen of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Earlene Shirrell of Cape Girardeau; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two special friends, Glenn and Dixie Dodson of Commerce. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Troy and a great granddaughter, Madaline Wheetley. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Forest Hills Cemetery in Morley, MO.
