Ervin Leo Eichhorn

Ervin Eichhorn, age 87, of Kelso, MO passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the family home. He was born on January 19, 1928 near New Hamburg, MO to the late Edward and Nora Dannenmueller Eichhorn. He married Rita Heisserer on February 4, 1948 and she preceded him in death on August 14, 2011. Ervin was a Sergeant in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, MO and the Chaffee V.F.W. Post #3127. He was a self-employed bricklayer. Survivors include two daughters, Rose Ann (Herb) Thomas of Roseland, VA, Laura (Butch) Stidham of Cape Girardeau, MO; three sons, Randy (Tammy) Eichhorn of Pocahontas, MO, Lester (Pam) Eichhorn of Chaffee, MO, Jerome (Myra) Eichhorn of Scott City, MO; eleven grandchildren, Ben (Elena) Thomas, Ian Thomas, Austin Thomas, Erik (Becky) Stidham, Megan (Rick) Pingkian, Shawn (Tracy) Bollinger, Jesse Bollinger, Hillary Eichhorn, Adrienne Eichhorn, Sarah Eichhorn and Alex Eichhorn; seven great grandchildren, Elliot Thomas, Felicity "Lizzie" Pingkian, Brenden Pingkian, Andrew Stidham, Bolden Bollinger, Riley Bollinger and Kinsey Bollinger. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers. Friends may call after 4 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO. Parish Prayers will be held at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, MO with Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant.
