Shirley Tomlinson

Shirley Ann Tomlinson, 76 of Chaffee died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 17, 1939 in Quincy, IL to Amuel and Hazel Daniels Compton. She married Charles Tomlinson on November 12, 1981. He preceded her in death. She was a retired seamstress. She was a member of the Church of God in Chaffee, MO. She loved her family church, yard sales and Westerns. She was an accomplished piano player and loved singing and playing gospel songs. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Compton of Poplar Bluff, MO and Eric Keys of Chaffee; six daughters, Ronann Luttrell, Candy Witcher, Leslie Palmer and Loretta Arnzen of Chaffee, Cora Miller of Thebes, IL and Sarah St. Clair of Benton, MO; 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Vernon Ainsworth. Friends may call from noon until time of service on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at The Church of God in Chaffee. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday at the church with Rev. Tom Morris officiating. Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Monday, May 11, 2015 in Mounds City National Cemetery in Mounds, IL.
