Leon Bucher Jr.

Leon J. "Sonny" Bucher Jr., age 79, of Rockview, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the family home in Rockview. He was born on April 28, 1936 in New Hamburg, Missouri to the late Leon Joseph and Clara Turner Bucher Sr. He married Margie G. Green on October 17, 1957 and she survives. Leon was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver for McDonald Ready Mix in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was also the repo man for Benny Martin Car Sales in Chaffee, Missouri. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, Missouri. Leon is survived by his wife, Margie G. Bucher of the home; one son, James Bucher and one daughter, Edna Bucher both of Rockview, Missouri; two brothers, Dave Bucher of Perryville, Missouri, Ronnie Bucher of St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters, Corena Nation of Jackson, Missouri, Marie Polich of Stoughton, Wisconsin, Wanda Robinson of Bradley, Illinois; two grandchildren, Wm. Joseph "BJ" Keys and Robert "Bobby" James Alexander. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., at the chapel with Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
