General Mason

General Leon Mason, age 78, of Oran, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born on February 2, 1937 in Dover, Arkansas to the late Mart and Hattie Anderson Mason. General married Shirley Wagoner on September 14, 1954. He retired from Tri-Con Industry in Cape Girardeau, Missouri as a quality control inspector. He also raised cattle and was a member of the Oran First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; one son, Garry (Monica) Mason of Bloomfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan and Hana Jo Mason, Chris, Justin, Brandon, Matt and Tyler Davis; two brothers, Gary Mason of Dover, Arkansas, Carl Mason of Oran, Missouri; two sisters, Mildred and Carol Mason both of Iowa and eight great grandchildren. General was preceded in death by one brother; two sisters; three children, General Mason Jr., Bobby Leon Mason and Jeannie Davis. Friends may call from noon until the time of service on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Oran, Missouri. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., at the church with Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Friend Cemetery in Oran, Missouri.
