Margaret Meier

Margaret Meier, age 79, of Advance, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the family home in Advance, Missouri. She was born on April 3, 1936 in Biggsville, Illinois to the late Eugene and Margaret Stubs Beachum. Margaret married Clois Hicks in December 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 2, 1976. She was a retired certified dietician and worked for Colonial Estates in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was a member of Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Survivors include two sons, Scott (Kristi) Meier of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Dan Hicks of Dexter, Missouri; one daughter, Karen (Joey) Boone of Quitman, LA; four brothers, John Beachum, Don (Bonnie) Beachum, Harry (Marilyn) Beachum and Gene (Dorothy) Beachum; one sister, Doris Luttrell; 13 grandchildren, four of whom she raised as her own, Yukondra, April, Elvis and Ashlee; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Margaret was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dina K. Hicks; one brother, Ray Beachum and one sister, Mary Jern. Friends may call after 4 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, Missouri.
