Don Vance

Don Vance, age 80, of Oran, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at his home in Oran, Missouri. He was born on July 23, 1935 in Allenville, Missouri to the late Elbert Howard and Florence "Flossie" Cramer Vance. Don was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served four years. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Missouri, St. Joseph Sodality of Oran, Missouri, Knights of Columbus Oran Council #4311, American Legion Post #369 in Benton, Missouri and Elks Lodge #2319 in Sikeston, Missouri. He was a retired laborer in the construction industry. Survivors include three daughters, Jeannine (Scott) Stause, Debra (Brian) Frala both of Oran, Missouri, Kimberly (Bill) Crump of Scott City, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Don was also preceded in death by one brother. Friends may call after 4 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri. Parish Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. followed by the Knights of Columbus Prayers. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Missouri with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will follow at 2 p.m., at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors presented by the Missouri Honor Guard.
